Nothing worth having comes easy and life isn’t fair! There will always be things working against you but you have embrace your circumstances and strive beyond them with sincere ambition, confidence and conviction! YOU HAVE TO FIGHT! And I don’t mean FIGHT to physically hurt someone or in any form of negativity, I mean fight for whats RIGHT! FIGHT FOR YOUR LOVE! FIGHT FOR YOUR BELIEFS! FIGHT FOR YOUR SUCCESS!

Although he is a family member of ours and a pioneer of the JUST BE COOL movement, I write this post from a very un-biased and perhaps better perspective than most. DOM Kennedy is what you would call an ICON. Not because he does or doesn’t have a Grammy, not because he makes incredible music but because he is CONSISTENT. In our society, there’s icons like Martin Luther King, the NIKE Swoosh and then there’s DOM Kennedy. To some that may sound like an extreme comparison because he’s somewhat of a new artist and he has a lot of room to grow in his career. But there’s one characteristic that is consistent amongst the three icons and that is, each one of these icons STAND FOR SOMETHING, they all three represent a concept. Martin Luther King represents UNITY through EQUALITY, NIKE represents VICTORY through EXERCISE, and DOM Kennedy represents PROGRESS through DEDICATION.

When I look at some of the worlds icons I see ENERGY, I see TIME and I see LOVE. The combination of the three leads you to SUCCESS. DOM, like many others, has combined those three elements and has reached a level of SUCCESS that comes with HAPPINESS, self GRATITUDE and many other emotions but most importantly, he has created a positive impact on his fans and his YOUniverse. The combination of the three creates an IMPACT because ENERGY is transferable, TIME is irreplaceable and LOVE is relatable.

GET FAMILIAR WITH YOU, and tap into YOUrself and YOUr LOVE, then dedicate some TIME and ENERGY. YOUr CONSISTENCY will become your SUCCESS and you too will have created a positive IMPACT on those around YOU!
